Warm Up Series Vol 1 - Mobility (Add-On)00A good warm up increases core body temperature, increases heart rate, and primes the neuromuscular system for training stress. This helps reduce the risk of injury and improves performance!
Just like for any other aspect of training, there is no single perfect warm up for everyone. Volume 1 of the Warm Up Series is a mobility focus, and works best for people who often feel "tight", people who may have mobility restrictions, or prior to movements that require a large range of motion.
Keep in mind that this warm up covers general, total body mobility. For a more targeted approach to improving the mobility of a particular joint or movement pattern, please see our EP Mob Series!
You may also perform 3-5 minutes of light aerobic activity (Jumping Jacks, Stationary Bike, Jump Rope, etc.) prior to beginning this warm up to help increase your heart rate and core body temperature.
Let's face it, everybody wants to skip their warm up. But a good warm up will help decrease risk of injury and improve performance. Take out the guesswork and follow along with EP's Warm Up Series!
